Introduction to Television Commercial Production
Online Course
This self-paced e-learning course introduces marketing managers to the process of producing television commercials, with special emphasis on their roles and responsibilities. Even managers who have experience in commercial production or have taken an in-class course will find this material to be a valuable refresher and resource.
The course is divided into eight main modules:
- Storyboard Review from a Production Perspective
- Talent Costs
- Test Production
- Overview of the Production Process
- Bidding
- Pre-Production
- The Shoot
- Post-Production
Each of these modules is made up of several important subtopics - such as screening directors' reels, casting, and pre-production meetings. The last subtopic of each module, "Check Your Skills," offers activities and exercises to assess the user's understanding of the material. The course also includes a number of helpful tools and checklists that can be easily printed out to use in managing actual production projects.
